Help! My daughter got a teddy bear as a gift. He came with a scarf and a winter hat but no sweater. My daughter really wants me to knit Mr. Bear a sweater. I have not been able to locate a pattern, any pattern. Bear stands 13" tall and has a rather large tummy. Any suggestions of where to look or companies to call? I would like to be able to give Mr. Bear a matching sweater and scarf for Christmas. My daughter would just love it. Thanks.

I just returned a book to the library. It was matching knitted sweaters for child & bear. I use MidContinent Library. It may have been Debbie Bliss. It looked good, lots of babies coming around this area now. Ask your librarian for help.

[:) You might try KNITS FOR CHLDREN & THEIR TEDDIES by Fiona McTague. It has matching sweaters for the child and its teddy bear. Some really cute sweaters.

This is a free one; it sounds a little small (fits preemies too), but looking at the way it's made, it should be really easy to work some extra rows to fit over bear's belly.
