I've got these two balls of fixation. I don't know what possessed me to buy it, but I haven't found anything I'd like to make with it. Socks are out of the question.. I've got enough sock yarn to last me the rest of the yar andthis yarn just doesn't feel right for socks..
Tamara, It makes wonderful socks. I would make a pair of footies w/ it if I had it. I love the Fixation yarn for socks...it take a bit to be comfortable knitting w/ it, but it wears really well and is very comfortable on my feet. Try it!...a baby hat?
A bra, a halter, wristlets (I hear it is great for sore wrists because it provides some compression, will let you know when mine are finished). Great for sweatbands, headbands, etc.
I really have to agree - Fixation is great for making socks. It's incredibly forgiving and wonderful for first time sockmakers I think. As long as it isnt too lacy (getting the gauge right can be a bit trickier with the fixation) then it can be quite fun and easy to hide your mistakes!
