Yet to embark on the ribbing for this pattern and have already hit a snag.

The written instructions specify long-tail cast on, with row 1 being a WS and a left-to-right setup row on the charted pattern.

Then row 2 in the written instructions say to "work as established" to last stitch. But the charted pattern has crosses in that row for the edge cables on the right and left (but not for the cable repeated across the back).

Should I interpret that to be "work the pattern for Chart A and as established in Chart B across the back"?

Looking ahead, Chart C begins on a RS in the written instructions, which is a right-to-left row on the chart. In other words, row 1 in the A and B charts are a WS but row 1 in the C chart is a RS row. Could that be correct?

I was thinking of taking this to start on a plane trip tomorrow, but if I can't figure out how to get started that wouldn't be such a great idea!

Thanks.
Kirsten
