I'm looking for opinions on designing software. I have Sweater Wizard & am looking at Cochenille. SW is ok but not as flexible as I'd like. What are others experiences?
Maybe I should say software for designing- I do a lot of designs but feel I'm reinventing the wheel each time.

While I don't use either product, I have heard Wendy Johnson of Wendyknits.net frequently speak and blog about the tools she uses. A quick trip to her blog would give you some good intel. She's also prompt about answering questions. Wendy has published at least 4 books - two on socks, one on lace and her early book was general knitting - just to give you an idea of her designing needs.

I wonder what tools Clara uses? She has some wonderful patterns in her books.

Good luck!!

Carol
Knitting is cheaper than therapy and more effective. I enjoy it more and it's good for my blood pressure. What more could you want?

Thanks, Terryknits,
I'm 99% hand knitting & am saving my $$ to invest in this.

I love Cochenille Garment Designer. It's the best for designing. She really knows fashion design (teaches in CA university system) and good design features are built in with many design options. Works for hand knitting, machine knitting and sewing patterns. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny!
