My idea is, some people are like my dad, and invest in lots of tools, and of high quality.

I'm sort of like that at times, and what I have to show for it is a bunch of weird things like a gismo for holding charts on your knee, and whatnot.

And some folks like being in a show from the '30's, and using safety pins and rubber bands and eschewing anything store-bought for the tool purpose.

Could a poll be designed to find out how many folks line up on this subject?

Life is beautiful.

To me, the right knitting tools are just as important as the yarn or the pattern! I posted a little ode to one of mine on my blog just last week: At Hand.

Hi Eldergirl, Last Monday I was with my knitting group not listening to the chatter when I heard ask Donna ,she has all the gizmos. I had to ask what they were talking about because I'm good at tuning out people when I want to. It turned out it was about a sock loom . She was right I did have one it was given to me as a gift. I have never used it because I like knitting them and it seem like a lot of work that way. Donna
