I thought it might be nice to take a break from the pre-year-end craziness this week and get lost in three lovely yarns that I picked up during my travels this year. Here you go!

Brooke Sinnes at Sincere Sheep is also a very helpful shop owner. I've looked at her work twice; it caught my eye at the Interweave Knitting Lab so I went to see her again at the Bazaar Bizarre in San Francisco. I've been looking for some yarn for a sweater and liked Brooke's colors and bases. She has really lovely colors, and I love that they're naturally dyed. She not only offered to dye a matching lot for me in case she didn't have enough in stock, but also mentioned if I sent her the pattern she could make some suggestions of the best bases to choose from. She's really nice.

I would love to try the Verb High Twist. I have not worked with a blend that has 30% silk in it.

Good eye, Evelyn! I don't have that yarn in front of me now but yes, now that you mention it, the two are very similar.

Clara-
Is the Verb yarn you review this week the same base as Darlene Hayes (Hand Jive) was using for her Nature's Palette Silk and Wool lace weight?

The description of the twist and fiber content made me think of it.

Thanks,

Evelyn
