Our shop is collecting any knitting needles for a shelter ministry.
Lee Grant is teaching children AND adults to knit.

Shelter life can be extreme in many ways. Your Donations will be given to the people she is teaching.

Please send donations here:

4909 George Washington Memorial Hyw
Yorktown, VA 23692

Enclose a note and it will go with your donations

Margie that sounds like a good family project. The knitter parent to teach the child,or children in the family to knit some thing for someone in need.

Another good thing to do: I knit afghans for the police. One the the teddy bear and one for the child. I've done this several times and am just about to start on another as a new bear came to stay at this house for a short while (till he gets a new home).

Margie and Mimi (my hearing dog who doesn't knit -- yet)
