Posted - 12/22/2012 : 5:35:31 PM Do you have any crochet projects you plan on doing this coming year? I have several in mind. Some of them are Fo's and some are swatches of crochet designs that I want to develop into something useful. I developed a project calendar or work log so I can record the number of hours each day and month that I work on projects. See the sample work log at http://time2crochet-n-craft.blogspot.com/2012/12/work-log.html

Posted - 12/26/2012 : 5:53:18 PM I'm almost done with the crochet thread spring shawl that I started in May 2011. I did not work on it for a long time. I just started working on it again this week. It's close to 50" long now. The width is 24". The finish measurement should be 60"L x 24"W. http://time2crochet-n-craft.blogspot.com/2011/05/thread-crochet.html
Good luck, robinstephanie, on your learning broomstick lace and crochet this coming year. Good luck to all of us this coming year may we have more FO's.

Posted - 12/24/2012 : 12:00:37 PM Learning to crochet in the first place is on my agenda this year. I have a class at stitches, and I signed up for a broomstick lace class on Craftsy, with Jennifer Hansen, who I met at Interweave Lab in San Mateo. The samples she had in her booth were sexy, feminine, and... just... a unique form of textile, different from anything I'd ever seen. I'm itching to learn the technique, but I have to get some crochet basics first.

Posted - 12/24/2012 : 01:08:13 AM I wanted to make 3 afghans for my 2 nieces and my SIL, but ran out of time this year, so hopefully 2013. I have the Cascade yarn already, and I'm going to try a border with Red Heart Pomp-a-doodle. The pattern is on the Red Heart site.
Another project is using up most of my bins of acrylic yarns to make snuggle blankets for the various animal shelters in the area. Those are good projects to just carry around and very little concentration is required.
I also peruse the garnstudio (DROPS) site, and might try something for myself from their crochet patterns.
Whew, I'm getting tired already. :-)
