Time again for the yarn game!

From this week's review...

"Some yarns have blatant skein appeal, drawing you in before you ever cast on that first stitch. Others are more shy and reserved, holding back their true selves until you've proven yourself worthy with your needles.

Symphony Lace sits squarely in the first category: It presents a stunning skein that you can't help but covet. But is this numinous beauty only skein deep?"

In the "Seeking Patterns" section below, the incredible Solaris already has posted a link to "Green Gables lace scarf," a pretty pattern intended for this yarn (takes one skein). Makes it extra-hard to resist trying it.

I am glad to see a yarn produced by people in Indian villages. Having been to India and seen the poverty, it is heartwarming to know that these wonderful people are being given a chance to better their lives. I just wish I had a use for this yarn!

This yarn looks like heaven! Clara's swatch looks like pure, spun gold. I loooove the way this yarn looks. I checked out other colours they make and I'm drooling, wanting, yearning for this yarn... oh, so much... but my wallet says a big, fat NO! Factoring the exchange rate, shipping costs, taxes, duties - it would cost me around $50.00 - 70.00 per skein. Ouch! But... oh, how much I want a skein!
