Knitter's Review
October 8, 2009
all ready for winter

For nearly two years I've been working on a 207-page love letter to wool. Next Wednesday, The Knitter's Book of Wool makes its official debut.

On the eve of this auspicious occasion, I thought I'd invite you in for a cup of tea and a mosey through my stash. In particular, I want to show you nine remarkable wool yarns that contributed to the spirit—and in five cases the patterns—of the book.

Next week: I share two special patterns with you.

In the Forum: Vacuum-Packed Yarn?
One of our Forum friends has moved to a small house and needs to maximize her yarn space. She's interested in using a food vacuum sealer to compact her yarn, but she doesn't want to hurt it. Is this safe? Do you have other suggestions for how she can make the most yarn storage room out of a small space?

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the Forums!
