British Suffolk, Chinese porcelain, and Maine granite

Seven years ago today a lot of us turned to knitting for solace. The world hasn't slowed down much since then. The faster it spins, the more I seek yarns that bring me closer to people and places—yarns that make me feel part of something greater than myself.

I know I'm not alone. Even large yarn companies are catching on. This Weekend in Ontario
The Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters' Guild is holding its Knitters' Fair—the largest event of its kind in Canada—this Saturday from 9:30am to 4:30pm in the aptly named town of Kitchener, Ontario. More than 70 vendors will be there, and skill-building sessions take place throughout the day.
