Knitter's Review
June 21, 2007
Balance and a fresh pear

Die-hard knitters will knit with any material at any time of the year. Others of us migrate to cooler fibers as the weather grows hotter.

If you live in a particularly warm climate, this week's yarn will give your hands a break. It's a 50/50 blend of cotton and Merino—and it's 100% certified organic to boot.

In the Forums: Same or Substitute?
A relatively new forum member wants to know how you approach the yarns in your projects. Do you use the yarn specified in a pattern, or do you pick your own?

This Weekend
Pacific Northwest knitters rejoice, the Black Sheep Gathering is this weekend! As always, it takes place at the Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene, Oregon. Workshops, the sheep show, and the sheep-to-shawl competition begin on Friday, and the marketplace is open Saturday and Sunday.

As always, thank you for your readership and your support. Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the forums!
