I have a confession to make: I've been holding out on you.
When I shared my ideal scarf yarns with you last week, I intentionally omitted one of the nicest angora yarns on the market today.
That's because Louisa Harding's Kimono Angora is so delicate and vibrant it deserves a solo spot on center stage. Join me this week as we see how it knits up, how it wears, and—because it's angora—how likely it is to make everybody within a 100-foot radius sneeze.
Show Us Your Stash!
If you look at your 2006 Year in Yarn calendar, you'll see that I've declared the last Friday in January Stash Cleanup Day. In preparation for this important day, I'd love to know more about how you make sense of your stash. Do you sort it by color? Fiber? Mood? Lunar phase?
Send your digital images and details about how you organize your stash (or don't!) to stash@knittersreview.com. I'll share the results at the end of this month.
In the Boutique: No Hikes Here
The USPS may have increased its rates on Monday, but I am defiant: the Knitter's Review Boutique shipping rates remain unchanged! So now's the time to visit our site and stock up on notecards.
Heifer Fundraiser: Tally Time
I've finished tallying the final contributions to our year-end Heifer International fundraiser, and I'm proud to report that we raised $1,565. To those 28 individuals who contributed to this year's fundraiser, I sincerely thank you. Together we've given 13 sheep to deserving families around the world.
In the Forums: Where do you Knit?
Do you have a favorite knitting area in your house, and if so, what does it look like?
