Knitter's Review
January 15, 2004

a simple sweaterWhen was the last time you saw a knitting book carry a "choking hazard" warning? Not recently, I'm guessing.

But a new breed of hybrid learn-to-knit books is out to change this, offering not only instruction and patterns but also the actual tools required for knitting—hence the warning label.

There are two notable entries in this market, and this week I review the first: A hip repackaging of an existing book that has already sold out its first production run. Next week: A more conservative classic.
