April 19, 2001

Last week I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Jim and Pam Child. Together they operate Hatchtown Farm in Bristol, Maine.

Pam is an avid handspinner and head shepherdess of some 50 Coopworth sheep, while Jim produces exquisite hand spindles and spinning accessories.

I'll talk more about them in an upcoming issue. In the meantime, do visit their lively Web site at http://www.hatchtown.com. Jim's lambing journal will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Going Around in Circles

Continuing our exploration of knitting needles, this week we explore the wild world of circular needles. Learn more about their benefits and drawbacks, and then check out our buyer's guide.

Don't forget to take advantage of Patternworks' generous 10% discount on all knitting needles -- an exclusive just for Knitter's Review readers. Simply mention code WKR2 when placing your order online or over the phone (at 800-438-5464). The offer ends May 3, 2001.
