About the author: Kelley Dean-Crowley has been knitting less than a year. Spinning also has her by hook, wheel and spindle. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from UC Davis, and must create to stay sane in an insane world. Her husband actively encourages this latest obsession with fiber. Together, they have a two-and-a-half year-old son who may be a budding fiber artist himself.
